Cook County doesn’t need bigger government or smaller government—it needs better government. We need systems that are efficient, effective, and innovative focused on outcomes—not outdated bureaucracy.
As your Commissioner, I’ll champion reforms that streamline operations, modernize services, and deliver measurable results that communities can see and feel.
I’ve spent my career fighting for fairness and accountability, making sure public dollars deliver value and serve people, and I will continue this fight as your commissioner.
Public safety is more than a single policy. It’s an ongoing process that requires balance and care. Real safety is built through prevention, accountability, and rehabilitation.
Some situations call for compassion. Others call for consequences. A just system must deliver both, and it must do so with equity, effectiveness, and community trust at its core.
As a former state prosecutor as well as a defense attorney, I have known both sides of the law and personally the people involved on both sides. Moreover, as the Chairman of a Board of Police and Fire Commissioners, I have a keen awareness of the police perspective. As your Commissioner, I will bring a unique combination of experience and understanding of the system and of individuals or groups involved in our legal system.
Building a better future starts with protecting the natural resources that make Cook County special. I’ve led efforts in Lyons Township to promote native plants, install pollinator gardens in public spaces, and restore prairie land so that more residents can enjoy nature.
This work is about more than beautification; it’s about resilience. Sustainable public spaces improve health, reduce flooding, support biodiversity, and strengthen community pride. As your Commissioner, I’ll bring that same stewardship to the Cook County forest preserves and work to expand green infrastructure across the county.
Sustainability is not optional. It’s essential to public health, equity, and economic stability. As your commissioner, I will mobilize resources to support an environment that will support your, your children’s, and your grandchildren’s lives now and into the future.
Smart, compassionate government invests in supporting people in moments of crisis and throughout their lives—government for people in good times and in bad. I’m focused on building systems that support independence, reduce long-term costs, and strengthen our communities from the ground up.
I created a youth leadership incubator to provide internships that build real-world experience in civic engagement, leadership, and service. We must expand mentorship, trades training, and workforce pipelines to reduce crime and grow opportunity. It’s time to expand this invaluable resource to Cook County.
Our seniors and veterans deserve more than lip service. I’ve worked to expand outreach, transportation, and tech access so they can stay connected, informed, and independent. I’ll continue pushing for more mental health care, accessible housing support, and programs that treat seniors and veterans with the dignity they’ve earned.
Strong families are the foundation of safe, resilient communities and they deserve a government that stands with them. That means investing in early childhood education, expanding access to affordable mental health services, and supporting programs that ease the burden on working parents. One of the most urgent and overlooked challenges families face is the high cost and inaccessibility of quality childcare. I’m committed to working with local providers, nonprofits, and employers to find creative, community-based solutions that make childcare more affordable and accessible because no parent should have to choose between paying the bills and ensuring their child is safe and supported. Strengthening families isn’t about charity, it’s about smart, compassionate policy that builds long-term resilience and opportunity.
Cook County residents are tired of big talk with little follow-through. I believe in doing the work, measuring the outcomes, and being accountable to the people and not political insiders.
Whether we’re talking about safer streets, cleaner air, or a stronger local economy, it all comes back to the same principles: fairness, accountability, innovation, and care. I’m running for Cook County Commissioner to put those values to work for every neighborhood.
Let’s build a county that reflects the best of us.
Let’s build it together.
